Making Tessellations - Where Math Meets Art

Tessellations (or tilings) famously appear in Islamic architecture and the art of MC Escher. In a hands on session we'll use the symmetry of tessellations of polygons to create new tiles and tessellation patterns in ways that are accessible to students in grades 3 through 9.
